Susana Dueñas, Assistant Director

Susana Dueñas has over seven years of experience directing short form content, and films - particularly those surrounding the Hispanic and Latino communities. Her short films have won various awards including the Audience Choice Award at the Family Theater Short Film Showcase for La Oportunidad, Best Student Film at the 168 Hour Film Festival for Dad, and Best Foreign Language Film for Toro de Oro, a short film Susana co-wrote. More recently, she has been the show-runner of a Spanish-language educational series in Hollywood. She attributes her passion for storytelling to hearing the stories of how her family made a life for themselves here in the US. This, along with her love for film, passion for the truth, and commitment to her faith are the driving forces in her profession. Susana is thrilled to be the Assistant Director on The Unbroken Sky, the beautiful universal story of the Jiménez family that she holds close to her heart.
